So I have been dealing with left side groin/bikini area pain for over a year. I have had numerous ultrasound (transvaginal/abdominal) I’ve had CT’s no one can figure out what is causing it. But my inguinal lymph nodes in pelvis have been inflamed. I went to a doctors appointment a few days ago with a new doctor he was pretty dismissive and kinda had a non caring tone/attitude he said he will prescribe me some antibiotic named clindamycin. I have taken antibiotic in the past for strep but I thought if I’ve take antibiotic before wouldn’t have got rid of the infection that’s in my pelvis ?? Idk he told me to take it for 10 days if the pain keeps coming he would schedule another Ct and refer me to gastroenterologist in the mean time he wants me to take the antiobiotic schedule an appointment with obgyn and if I keep having pain to take the tynenol codeine he prescribed me. I told him the pain doesn’t respond to ib profen well not even 800 mg I am skeptical of trying the Tylenol codeine because I don’t want to get addicted or anything… I’m out of options I have seen so many doctors and none of them seem to really care I may go back to my old doctor he just wasn’t covered on my new insurance or I may see a herbalist. I do feel like stress and sugar could cause flare ups with the pain from my pelvis I don’t know. I’m just tired I been dealing with this for so long I have no idea what to do.
