5 year old won’t sleep, please help!!

For the past three weeks my 5 year old has been waking up multiple times throughout the night. It feels like we’re back in the newborn stage.

She wakes up and isn’t scared, but will cry because it isn’t time to wake up yet. This happens at least 5 times a night, and she is up for hours at a time. Sometimes she is yelling, sometimes she is crying. When I ask why she says she isn’t tired and wants to get up.

We have tried everything. We gave her 1mg of melatonin which helped her fall asleep but then she was up at one am ready to be up for the day. Then we tried giving her a few snacks so she was full for the night. We tried calming music, we tried a bath before bed. We have an “okay to wake” light, she doesn’t care and gets up anyways. Sometimes we yell in frustration because we are so so tired. NOTHING IS WORKING. Our whole house is tired because when she cries she is usually waking up my three year old too and he’s a wonderful sleeper normally.

She started sleeping through the night at 4 months old and we have never had a problem with her sleeping until now. What is going on, and what can I do to get her sleeping through the night?
