Reassurance?

Hi ladies! I am about 320 pounds and pregnant. I am so excited! I am a little concerned about my weight so would love to hear some positive stories! Also, do we as plus size women often have larger babies?

I’m plus sized and have had 8 babies! All natural and no major complications. The only thing that might make your baby larger is if you have diabetes or get gestational diabetes. I didn’t ever get that. It was harder sometimes for the anesthesiologist to place my epidural. My 1st baby was 10lb 2oz and I weighed 190lbs so id say no, at least not in my case. All my babies were between 7-9lbs. Good luck!

Hey there. Congratulations to you. I may be echoing some of what the other ladies have already stated, but here goes. During my 1st pregnancy, I started out at 355 @35 yrs old after losing 100lbs in my journey, had a 7lb 5oz baby, weighing 455, delivered via csection purely on him breech and refused to turn around. By time I was done breastfeeding at 20 months, i weighed a whopping 478. Scary right, ik. Began my weight loss program for a second time, got down to 400 when and found out i was pregnant again. My current goal is to not gain more that 45 lbs this entire pregnancy, im currently at 418 at 5 months. I was already considered borderline diabetic so my personal ob just considered me diabetic and I am watching what I eat to maintain my baby being a healthy weight. No insulin thankfully. Hoping this baby allows for me to have a successful vbac delivery, my hospital and ob are plus size friendly and support delivery in different positions. Im already high risk, not due to weight but due to a autoimmune disease, the diabeties, and being older than 35, now 37. Other than that im considered healthy. 
All in all, I believe you will have an amazing in pregnancy, Im speaking it into existence, being positive of course. Ask those questions you want and research your hospital for delivery options. Good luck, enjoy your pregnacy.

I would of had but babies if they stay in me long enough. My first child was born 36+6 at 7pounds 6oz. My second baby came 36+3 at 7 pounds 6oz. If they would of stayed in me they would of been 10pounds. My baby I'm pregnant with now was measuring almost 6 pounds at 32 weeks. I'm already 36+3 and I'm getting induced at 37 weeks. I got a ultrasound Friday to see how big he is. They are saying he will be over 8 -10 pounds. If he stayed till 40 weeks they believe he would be 12-13 pounds. Idk yet. Each person is different I think.

I was 315 when I conceived my daughter and due to following a gestational diabetes diet and hyperemesis I was 270 when I gave birth. They induced me at 38.4 weeks, because they said she was going to be huge. She ended up being just over 6 pounds and a shorty lol  😂

I am 5’3 and weighed 275 prior to getting pregnant with my first baby, I had gestational diabetes and he was 9.1 full term. With my second I weighed 260 prior to pregnancy and I am now 25 weeks, again with GD but baby is healthy and growing on track!
