Spotting 5dpo but unwell?

Question

My last pregnancy I had spotting after sex at 5dpo. 
I had a fever last night, cold and sweating 😪 and when I woke up (5dpo) I had spotting light brown! 
Could a fever make me come on early? Do you think a baby could implant when I was feeling so unwell?
My gut is saying there’s no way of a pregnancy with how unwell I was last night … my temp was sooo high yesterday that the natural cycles app disregarded it and knew it was because of a fever 😪
But the spotting has really confused me!
Any advice would be great xx

A fever wouldn’t make your period show earlier than expected. It’s likely that an illness can delay or prevent ovulation, and in turn, delay or prevent your next expected period, but if you already ovulated then that wouldn’t be the case. 
Spotting at 5DO after intercourse was highly likely due to irritation of your cervix or vagina from the act of sex itself and not related to your last pregnancy. Spotting during the Luteal phase is quite common and is usually due to hormonal changes or irritation of your cervix. A vaginal tear or irritation of the vaginal wall, infection, STD, cyst, warts, fibroid, poylps, etc., can all cause intermenstrual bleeding. An illness likely wouldn’t affect implantation, but if you’re just 5DPO, if you conceived this cycle, the egg would still be on its way to implant, and most likely, the process wouldn’t happen until 9-10DPO.

Answer

According to your temps you ovulated on the 25th making you only 4dpo on the 29th. Anything before 6dpo isnt pregnancy related since implantation couldnt have happened yet. Implantation happens between 6dpo and 12dpo most common between 8dpo and 10dpo.
