Bleeding after Almost Year and a half on Nexplanon

Hey girls! So I got my nexplanon inserted on Jan 20th 2023. I haven’t had a period since. Yesterday I was using the bathroom and I had my period diarrhea and cramping. When I wiped I thought I saw blood. I thought I was delulu(lol) I didn’t pay mind to it. About an hour later I used the bathroom again to pee and when I wiped all I saw was blood. I was weirded out because I hadn’t had a period in almost a year and half. I called my emergency virtual care and I explain to the doctor what had happened and she told me that it is normal after a year and so to have sporadic bleeding on the implant. Has this happened to anyone before?
