Is it weird that my bf is chatting to a girl on discord?

It seems like she’s a gamer too. I didn’t worry at first cus he sent a snap with their chat open in the background. So probably nothing to worry about right? But people are awful nowadays and id hate to be blindsided by this. I know know of many stories where someone’s bf cheats w someone on discord. Im okay with him having girl friends but PERSONALLY don’t think it’s necessary or respectful for him to go out of his way to make new girl friends. If it’s through work or something like that where they’ve been put in an environment together, fine, but following someone new and having conversations online…idk it makes me uncomfortable. Been cheated on so many times (different men) in the past idk what’s normal what isn’t and what to be worried about or what not to. Ik he’s a different man, but men :/.
