Am I an asshole because I called the police because when I was at the children's playground with my kids a homeless couple was there doing drugs and then slumped over on the bench and the other was nodding out and falling over? They also were using the park like a bathroom. I ignored it the first few times but when I drive by at night and saw they were shooting up in the play equipment I called the cops. I warned my local Facebook group and was told I'm a bad person for calling the cops on people who are struggling. I'm just trying to keep the park safe. I don't want my kids coming into contact with bodily fluids and drugs and people who are unstable and dangerous. And if you approach these people they just ask for money. I'm not trying to be insensitive but the safety of kids is more important to me, surely they can find a new spot to trash that doesn't have minors around? Or am I just a bad person ?
