Which is best or are they both the same in gods eyes ?

Church wedding is the one that includes God in the ceremony.
You can ask the marriage license at court and get married at church to have a Godly involved wedding.

We couldn’t afford a nice wedding, so we opted for courthouse. Then we ended up purchasing a house. I’m definitely glad we did it that way, but I do feel like I missed out on a life event. SO ten year wedding anniversary wedding it is! 
My point is, you guys need to do what feels right for the both of you.

I got married in a courthouse and my dad who’s a Bishop remarried us in my parents house in jeans and sneakers under God. 
I grew up in a religious family so I totally understand where you’re coming from. Nevertheless, no wedding even in a Church under God should cost you funds you don’t have to please nobody. 
You can have a beautiful and elegant wedding within your budget under God in a Church or at a venue with an ordained minister that you’ll remember for years and be happy about. It’s you and your man’s special day: NOBODY ELSES!!

I’m Catholic and my family is heavily Catholic and my husband and I got married at a venue and didn’t have religion involved in our day whatsoever. It’s really honestly what ever you want to do. My dad got drunk at my bridal shower and told me I was going to go to hell for not getting married in the church and/or not having a priest bless my marriage and I STILL did what me and my husband wanted

We married ourselves in front of our dogs. This was right after Covid hit and we were on lock down. They set us the paper via mail, signed them and sent it back. I don’t regret it one bit.
