My last period started on June 3. My partner and I have had unprotected sex since then because my cycle is usually 29-37 days, although I had a 40-day cycle in 2019. We were aware that I wouldn't be ovulating near June 3. However, I am currently on my 40th day and still haven't had my period. I was sick for 3 weeks with the flu, pneumonia, and dengue, and I am still recovering from dengue. I don't know if my illnesses have delayed my period or if it's possible that I had a shorter cycle (21 days being the possible range for ovulation). I'm feeling nauseous right now and hoping for cramps to indicate my period is starting.
