Going no screens
No judgment please. Has anyone made the transition from screen time to none? How did you do it? I regret introducing it to my toddler and want to cut out screens. It was used as a distraction to get things done but I find us relying on it way too much and she asks for it all the time. My husband expressed we need to get her more interactive toys because she’s asking for it too much and I said we just need to cut off tv all together but everytime I turn around he offers it to her. Im not blaming him because he’s been doing literally everything around the house since I’ve been pregnant so I can rest, so i know he’s just trying to get a break himself. I’m pregnant with #2 and have been super sick so I’ve also been using it a lot more just so I can rest while he’s at work but I want her to just learn to be okay with being bored and playing with her plethora of toys. I work full time at her daycare, so she really doesn’t get it during the week except maybe 20 min in the morning while drinking milk because she’s in daycare all day (whatever hours I work she’s there). And then evenings really vary depending on the time I get off and sometimes she opts for books after bath rather than her show. Im trying to cut down my own screen time honestly it just is really hard while I have no energy and don’t feel well. This weekend we’re stuck inside because it’s just too hot to bare outside right now, but we do go to the park early before it gets hot.
