My husband (american) and I met at uni in the uk and moved to the states about 4 yrs ago to be near his family/a job offer he had. I had always heard about the medical woes of the usa but wow lol. We have good insurance considering what most.of our friends and family. Just had our 1st baby. Non medicated/natural birth with zero conplications in a hospital (because I had to be in a hospital) with a midwife...not even an OB/GYN and we only stayed 6 hrs post birth as everything was healthy and we were released. My bill I just got haha. Not sure how anyone survives in the states without insurance my lord. Good thing we make decent money. Best part is this isn't even the whole bill...I also have a seperate bill for the baby of course. Which is insane to me we both get charged for the room. So 2 room bills for the same room used at the same time lol. Nothing like getting to double up on charges.
