I was pushed to get on birth control as soon as my baby was born. I got an iud and haven’t had a period since which was 2 years ago. My husband and I are ready for another baby.

A year ago I was concerned with the placement with my iud. I had an ultrasound done shortly after and was told it was in place. After the ultrasound my ob decided to trim my strings without my consent first. I just checked them and I can’t feel them at all. I haven’t had a period since having my iud inserted. It feels unnatural, I was planning on removing it myself but since my string are either curled up or my iud itself is completely missing I can’t. I’m so afraid to schedule an appointment to have it removed by a professional because I felt so much pain when it was inserted. Please give me advice. My cervix is open. I’ve felt like I’m pregnant for over a month now . It may just be in my head but it’s all driving me crazy 😭😭😭
