they offer at 36 weeks but there is no point in getting one. i’m almost 39 weeks and will be getting one tomorrow at my visit to see if i’m dilated to determine which type of induction i need.

Cervical checks don’t really tell you anything. You could be 4cm and not go into labor for weeks. You could be completely closed and go into labor that day. Now if your wanting a sweep then I understand getting checked, but all cervical checks do is introduce bacteria into the vagina and make the risk of possible infection go up. They also make you bleed, so there’s that anxiety from it too. But you can request them anytime.

They offered at 37 weeks but I declined. I’m 38 weeks and haven’t had one. They don’t really matter or mean anything.
