So I’ve been friends with my bestfriend for about 8 years now. Last year sometime she introduced me to a longtime friend of hers, about 10 years maybe. They were never really that close and went without talking for a while, because they weren’t best friends. Just friends.

Well, fast forward to now. We are all basically bestfriends. The only problem is they are both really nice and good to me when we are without the 3rd. When we come together as a group I am always the butt of the joke, the one told to shut up, and they take jokes too far with. We all go after each other with jokes, but once I felt I was constantly being the butt of them, I told them both just to ease up and how it’s not fair and annoying. They called me a pussy, snowflake etc about it and moved on. We are all in our 22 - 24 age range and I feel like we’re way too grown for this.

Every single time I’m in a group chat, group call, or video game with them they have to insult me, or bring my name into an insulting joke as always.

What would you do about toxic friends like this?
