Ever Dated an unattractive man?

Sianne • 2 Corinthians 5:17 Red Lipstick is my best friend 😉

eve friends I need help.

I recently met this man on a dating app…I know already a bad start on my end.

His pictures weren’t the greatest and he didn’t list his height. But his bio really caught my attention. He listen off many similar interest of things I personally love.

I went ahead and messaged and him and it is honestly the best conversation I have had with a man in years. He makes me laugh so easily and gives me many compliments and worlds of affirmation.

After a while we agreed to a date, and I was honestly…shocked.

I was not attracted to him physically. At all.

To the women who have dated for men strictly in personality. How long did it take for you to find him physically attractive? It was it just something you were able to get past?

Because I do have feelings for him but now I’m honestly just confused.

My husband and I met on an app, pics were model pics so I was skeptical. Met in person neither of us were physically attracted to each other off the bat, but as you can see it ended well. Married and 3 kids later. Still the happiest safest place I’ve ever been.

You can make him look good! Dress him up and stuff… personally, the personality makes a man so much more attractive. I’d stick it out sis

I just recently starting dating my best friend of 9 years. I never in that time found him attractive and it’s always been a platonic friendship. A few years ago he admitted he was in love with me. But the entire 9 years of knowing each other he has always shown up for me. He has been the first person to send me flowers on my birthday or a card/gifts/flowers during work promotions, a voucher for a spa day when I had my first child and a gift basket with baby items for my second. He is just genuinely a good person all his friends and family love and he is the first person people turn to. He has a great sense of humor, is very loving and caring, emotionally mature and available. Has worked on his past and become a better man on his own. He is respectful (because we are dating he said strictly no sex/anything sexual. He wants to take things slow) wants to give the the opportunity to heal from my past traumatic relationship. He is supportive of me through this process and doesn’t judge me when I react in negative ways as I’m still healing and I’m used to dating a narcissist. In terms of attraction that has come through dating and how he makes me feel when I’m around him. At peace, loved, valued and respected. I literally feel so calm when he is around. He straight up helps without being asked too. I also think he has beautiful eyes, they’re a pale blue and an attractive quality aside from his personality. He also has a wicked smile and a cheeky smirk which I love! But society standards he is definitely not deemed attractive and I do notice the “looks” when we’re out and about. Without sounding stuck up society standards I would be considered “pretty”. However he hands down takes the cake above any other man for how he treats me and makes me feel, so looks don’t even factor into it anymore. I find him attractive through how he makes me feel 🥰 and the more we hang out/date the more attracted and feelings I get for him. That was my very long winded way of saying it will happen! If he is a good man and you have a lot in common and it’s easy, stick it out! He may just surprise you 😉❤️
