I'm not talking about normal gender disappointment. I'm talking about the parents who get visibly angry and even go as far as destroying shit. We went to my brother and SIL's gender reveal. Drove 3 hours. She demanded gifts in the invitation. My brother didn't care if it was a girl or boy. SIL wanted a boy. When they cut into the cake it was a girl and she slapped the piece of cake out of my brothers hand, threw the other part of the cake on the ground and went inside. Also my MOM paid for that cake. She was keeper of the baby's gender and she just destroyed it and went inside to pout. Then the rest of us had to leave because she didn't want the party anymore. I understand gender disappointment is a thing. But if you are going to be genuinely angry if it's not the gender you wanted to the point you are like the dad's breakint shit or like my SIL, throwing the cake on the ground why even have the party? You know the gender could be either or. Just find out by yourselves and get your tantrum out then instead of making people drive to a party just so you can send them away and destroy a cake your MIL paid for. I don't get it.
