I am sooo angry that I’m crying.

Back story; it’s our son’s birthday next week and I told my husband that I am planning for the whole family to spend time together on this birthday. My husband said that he couldn’t because he has a party to attend on our son’s birthday. I explains that our son’s birthday should take priority and he insisted that he will attend the party that he plans to attend and that we (the whole family) should attend the party with him and that we can celebrate our son’s birthday another day. He said that he promised the person that he will attend the party. As usual my husband prioritises pleasing strangers. I told him that if he insists on attending the party then he can but the kids and I will go ahead with celebrating our son’s birthday. My husband has not spoken to me since then. I keep trying to reach out but he pushes me away.

To make matters worse, he refuses to eat what I cook. Would you believe that I will spend hours cooking only for my husband to go ahead to cook the same food because he does not want to eat what I cooked. Yesterday I spent hours cooking to stuck up the fridge like I normally do and guess what he did while I was at work? He cooked the exact same meal but different type! Like I’m boiling and I just feel like chucking what he cooked in the bin
