Is this fair?
could really use some advice and perspective. We recently welcomed a newborn to our family, and we also have a toddler. My husband is the sole breadwinner, working full-time, and I’m a stay-at-home mom. We have a nanny for the newborn for 60+ hours a week, daycare for our toddler (though it’s been closed all week), and cleaning help once a week.
I’m a month postpartum, and my husband was helping with nighttime feedings, but he says it’s affecting his productivity at work and that he’s reached his limit. He believes it’s fair for me to handle all the nighttime wake-ups for both the newborn and toddler.
I’m exhausted from the lack of sleep and managing both kids’ wake-ups at night. Is it reasonable for me to handle all the nighttime duties, given our current setup? How do other families manage similar situations?
