OBGYN Visit 🥲
Today I went and saw my nurse practitioner at the OBGYN office. I saw her about a month ago stating that my husband and I have been ttc for over a year. She got blood work for me, and what we could see is that I am insulin resistant. This month I have started taking 2000mg of metformin daily. I got my first positive ✨ovulation test✨. Since then my temp went up the first 2 days, and since has been kind of up and down. My nipples have been so sore and slight cramping.
Today, I brought up to my NP that I’m not sure if I ovulated or not and she ordered a progesterone test to be done tomorrow (7 DPO). When I told her today that my temp has been kind of up and down, she didn’t really seem to get too excited about it - all she said was, maybe it will come back well, and maybe you’ll be pregnant! 🙃 after my testing tomorrow I plan on starting some progesterone cream (from my chiropractor) and do that next cycle as well.
Should I even be getting my hopes up? My NP also told me that I need to try for 3 more months before I can get prescribed something like letrozole or clomidðŸ˜.
I just feel lost. I felt very down about my temperatures, but then my NP didn’t even seem to think twice about it?!
Thoughts? Am I out because of my temperatures? Should I just wait it out? Or count myself out?
