My husband's client asked him to leave me for her
My husband is a licensed psychologist and was doing a telehealth therapy session in his office. Before anyone gets onto me for snooping, the toddler was trying to bang on her door and I was getting our toddler when I heard a female voice say "I'm in love with you. I don't love my husband anymore. I want to be with you." I know it's a "hippa violation" or whatever for me to listen but if you heard another woman say she was in love with your husband what would you do? She started asking him to leave me for her and I can at least say my husband handled it well. He told her to think. She's sitting here trying to leave her family and run away with her therapist. This is why she's in therapy. That they need to get to the root of why she jumps to impulsive decisions like that. I would have appreciated it he said something along the lines of "I'm married and would never disrespect my wife and mother to my children this way." I told him I heard his conversation with her and I guess I was expecting some reassurance but instead he told me not to intrude on private conversations like that and he won't be discussing his clients with me. All I really wanted was some reassurance...
