Implantation bleeding?

I have confirmed ovulation on August 4 my period is suppose to on august 22nd but I got up this morning and noticed I’m slightly spotting it was more pink when I first noticed it’s probably been a good 6hrs since then and it’s slowly gotten more brown. I’ve had random like twinges but no cramping, my boobs have been sore for about a week too. I started metformin this cycle so I’m really hoping this is it ❤️ when’s the earliest you can test after implantation bleeding or should I just wait till the 22nd?
Also I wanna add in I know implantation bleeding doesn’t always happen and can be rare, I had it years ago when I first got pregnant but it ended in miscarriage sadly.

If you’re bleeding 15 days past ovulation then it’s most likely preperiod spotting. If you’re already 15dpo you can test now.

If you’re 15DPO, then it’s highly likely that any spotting or bleeding is related to an upcoming/impending period. Implantation happens typically between 8-10DPO, and HCG typically doubles in a progressing pregnancy at least every 48 hours, so testing around 12DPO and after is ideal. Implantation hasn’t been scientifically proven to cause vaginal bleeding, which goes against everything spewed around online, which is based on anecdotal evidence and speculation. Although, there are tons of causes of spotting that can happen outside of a period or during pregnancy. So yeah, I don’t recommend testing until 12+DPO and if pregnant, any spotting or bleeding should be reported to your Doctor.

Yours look similar to mine. I had a miscarriage exactly 1 month ago today on July 21st & today when I wiped I had this pink spotting on the tissue only 1 time when I went to the restroom. According to FLO I was supposed to start my period today & ovulation was predicted on August 5th on the FLO app. When did you test? I’m thinking it’s my period, but I’m hoping it’s not 😭
