Am I wrong for reporting my coworker?
I'm a caseworker and I work for CPS. I was at the office and one of my coworkers had one of her clients with her. She had to remove him from his foster home. It is illegal in our state to spank foster children. He called her because the foster dad pulled his pants down and hit him with a belt. He's also 14 so all just completely wrong. She was annoyed she had to drive so far to remove him a while we are in the office she says to him "Never call me to come get you over stupid stuff like that again." She was annoyed because she didn't think it was a huge deal but she legally had to remove him. I think it's disgusting to tell a child you're trying to help not to call you when they need help. The foster father had no right spanking him. Especially pulling down a 14 year olds pants like that. I reported what she said because I feel it's wrong and just retraumatizing kids.
Edit: Why I'm asking is because I'm relatively new to working with CPS specifically. She's been doing it for years and I know CPS can be draining. I was wondering if I was wrong and if someone else had a different perspective since I'm so new to working with CPS
