Someone was trying to tell me that herpes does not show on test ?? That it comes flared up later on I’ve gotten a full std panel and apparently I was negative but I feel like I might have it

it’s not usually included in std tests, I’m pretty sure u have to ask for it and u have to get tested during an outbreak

Why do you feel you have it? Herpes isn’t hard to diagnose.

Herpes can be confirmed with a blood test. They do not test for it on a normal screening (even if it says its a full panel). You have to ask them to test for it specifically. With my doctor, I had to tell her why I thought I had it with what symptoms before she would test for it.

An hsv test is only going to be positive if done during an outbreak.
