It has nothing to do with their weight babies born before 37w are considered premies my premie was born at exactly 36w she was 7.15 a 6lb baby is normal size for a newborn

A baby born weeks before their due date is a premie. A 6lb baby is just a smaller sized baby if they are full term. Both my full term girls were 5lb. I just birth small babies.
