TTC after birth control

Iv been off birth control for about six months im currently TTC baby number 2 and I’m I started trying in July, my period supposed to start Friday but almost every period Iv had before has been short and I had no flow so I’m worried that might be why I’m not getting pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this and got pregnant after a few months of trying?
