If I get a neg 12 DPO am I out?

There is a event tonight with friends which will involve drinking alcohol. I was going to makeup a reason to not go if I found out I was pregnant. At 12 dpo I have all negatives. Is it safe to assume I’m not pregnant and drinking at the event tonight will be okay?
