Boyfriend doesn't like being around my family

I have to decide whether to spend holidays with my family or my boyfriend because he doesn't want to spend holidays with my family. He doesn't like them because they make a lot of comments and jokes about gay and trans people and he has a queer kid. His son is non binary and gay and it bothers him a lot the comments they make. They don't make any jokes or comments ABOUT his son but the things they say bother him. I've met his kid and they're great. I like them a lot and I get why my boyfriend is so protective of his child but if we get married my family will be his family too. I don't want to have to choose who I spend my holidays with
