Preeclampsia

I feel like I am falling through the cracks. I went to the hospital the other night for contractions & high BP.

I was given fluids and tylonal but the contractions did not stop. Doctor told me I was probably having prodromal labor.

BP was elevated at the hospital (145/97 I believe). They did a urine test and then sent me on my way before they got the results back.

Got a notification today with the urine results and my BP is still high + still having contractions. I have protein in my urine, but I’m not sure if that’s always a sign of preeclampsia? I also had severe swelling in my hands and feet today

I’ve just heard so many horror stories about moms and babies being harmed from preeclampsia being over looked & I feel like my dr was not taking me seriously.

I’m 37 weeks and hoping that they will induce me as the dr told me I was 1-2 cm dilated when I went it (I know that’s not a lot but I heard they are more likely to induce you if you’ve already started dilating) I was hoping to wait and have a all natural birth but I have never been more miserable/ exhausted/ in pain in my entire life.
