I’m pregnant 🤰🏻 🤩🙌🏼💗
After 7 cycles of TTC (6-7 months) I am more than happy and excited to announce that I am pregnant 🥹💗🙌🏼. My heart is full of joy and love and I feel so peaceful and blessed.
I am 32 years old and this is my first baby 🐣 so the TTC process was totally new for me. I stopped taking the contraceptive pill after 5 years and I had no idea what was coming.
I would like to share with you what I have learned during this TTC journey, and things I did to get finally here:
- I took folic acid with vitamin d daily
-The belief that you get pregnant in the first try is not applicable for everyone. This belief created more stress on me every month. I thought something was wrong with me
- don’t worry so much about the age. It’s true that fertility decreases in the 30s but doesn’t mean it is impossible to conceive
- A fertility/<a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.nurture">pregnancy app</a> can be handy to record your period, symptoms, length of cycle ( I used <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android">glow app</a>) but it is not a predictor of your ovulation
-I used opk tests(brand easy@home together with the app) for 3 months to track my ovulation and on the 3rd I got pregnant. However, an ovulation test doesn’t guarantee you will get pregnant but helps to predict your ovulation more accurate and time sex to get higher chances
- on the 3rd month of TTC I had a false positive. So if you presume to be pregnant and want to take a test , do it on the predicted 1st day of your period or when is 4-5 days delayed. Also use tests that are reliable, known brands
- I used a sperm friendly lube, which helped us a lot because I don’t lubricate enough
-I incorporated food to my diet that improves fertility and started drinking 2 litres of water daily
- my partner reduced his cigarette consumption by half
- I reduced the consumption of alcohol
- I kept going to the gym and took yoga lessons
- I kept going to psychological therapy
- be careful with the information you consume and the sources, and don’t overwhelm yourself with info. Community blogs are good to have a place with people going through the same process. However, information might not be accurate, plus we all have different bodies, experiences, medical backgrounds, etc.
-symptoms of pms, pregnancy, etc are really different between people
Finally, enjoy the process, be patient and take care of yourself, take rest, enjoy the time with your partner, continue with your hobbies, seeing your family and friends, and trust that it will happen.
I wish you all the best luck in the journey, and send you a big hug. I’m proud of all of us💗
