We're unexpectedly pregnant with our second but I have no idea how to tell my two closest friends who are struggling with secondary infertility.
My husband and I were not trying to have a second. I would have gotten an IUD but my husband was supposed to get snipped when our daughter was 6 months old. We were using condoms 100% of the time and ovulation tracking.
Unfortunately his vasectomy was cancelled because his doctor was in a car accident a few days before the procedure. His doctor hasn't returned to work yet. My husband was referred to another doctor and here we are... With a 13 month old and 10 weeks pregnant. And my husband finally has his vasectomy booked for the end of the month.
We did not want a second but certainly not two so close in age. Nonetheless, we love this little babe and it is what it is. No mistakes, just happy surprises. We have all the resources to look after two.
My two friends have one child each. They've been trying for two years to have a second and it's just not happening. We've often discussed a second and I have always said I'm "one and done". I don't even know where to begin with this.
On the one hand, if I say it was an accident it will be hurtful. If I say it was intentional, then I'll have been a liar because I always said I'm one and done. I know if I say it wan't intentional they'll be mad and assume this baby isn't wanted.
Please help :'(
