More so of a rant. Tonight my husband and I were cleaning our house when my phone rang. It was supervisor telling me I just been assigned to an emergency case. I am a sex abuse detective and once every six weeks I am on call. So at 9 PM I answered. My husband was in another room when he heard me on the phone and he came into the room that I was in and I told him one moment while I gattered information from my supervisor. When I got off of the phone, my husband told me how disrespectful I was for not telling him that my job was calling and that I should have told my supervisor that I am with my husband at the moment or somehow letting my supervisor know that I was with my husband. He went on for a good 30 minutes as I’m getting ready to head to work about how I lack introducing him to people.… I honestly didn’t find it to be the right time to notify my supervisor that I was with my husband simply because the only reason why I am getting a phone call is for work purposes only .

I am literally overwhelmed from getting into an argument, and yet I still am on my way to investigate a case.

Was I in the wrong? When you were on the phone, do you tell your spouse that somebody is calling or do you tell the person you’re on the phone with that you’re with your spouse ?
