Should I take the job offer if I’m nervous AF?
I currently work in Customer Support and have for about 2 years now. I don't mind it, it's comfortable and fully remote.
Recently our company created a “Payroll” product which launched and hired 2 people from my team to go over there, giving them a raise. A whole new product means it's a difficult role and a bit stressful (in speaking with the people working on it).
I'm also working towards my path in HR so a Payroll role sounds fitting. Well recently, one of the Payroll reps left and they posted the open job.
Basically, I applied and they offered me the position, but I’m getting cold feet.
Pros:
- fits into my career path
- more money! About 15-20k more
-opportunity to learn how US Payroll works
Cons:
- I usually work 9-5 and prefer that, but can't be flexible with this job as it is 10-7p
- Zoom calls with customers lol
- Payroll just looks so scary to me. I mean, it is sensitive, people's money 😬
- more stressful than what I do right now
I have a lot of self-doubt within myself so that's what's holding me back 😞 thoughts?
