period pain
hello everyone, i have been having ongoing issues with my period since i was a teenager, and have been to the dr multiple times. i was recently checked for endometriosis using a ultrasound, but they told me it isn’t likely they would be able to detect it through ultrasound. unfortunately i dread my periods every month. they last around 7-8 days, extremely painful, cant walk cant get out of bed, constantly crying and haave other side effects like nausea and headaches. this time around today actually at 2 am, i woke up with cramping pains, and they lasted until 7 am, not one bit of relief. i tried heating pads, medicine, hot shower, using the bathroom. nothing helps. it’s now 4 pm, and i have not stopped cramping since then. is this supposed to last this long? unfortunately i do not have health insurance as my mom just lost her job unexpectedly. please any advice helps. i also dont have a long time in between my periods either, 19-20 days per cycle and then i get another period. i’m in immense pain and i feel like no one listens to me and drs just throw out birth control. this is the longest my cramping has ever lasted without relief.
