So I've been talking to this guy.. for maybe 3 years?

We used to be colleagues in different departments and we would sometimes chat about work, like I'd ask for his help within his department.

It would be friendly, sometimes banter-y but never straight up flirty. I was in a relationship when we connected at work.

I since quit my job, We are linked on linkedin and we talked there (like last month?) and then I told him about my ex and I seperated beginning of this year and he's been taking time out of his day to send me some messages and we've been having a flowy ish continuous conversation.. But it's confusing because while his messages seem very real and genuine and engaging, he hearts my pictures and comments, it's always just a couple of messages at a time and then he wouldn't read until maybe like the end of the day or the next day.

I honestly truly don't know what to make of it.

He's single, but has a VERY strong bachelor vibe. IDK if he's looking for anything.

I'm also fine with being just friends, it's just that there's been some mixed signals? To me, with the way he's communicating, it feels like there is some interest there but he's not willing to be upfront about it.

Like.. he's been probing about my arrangement with my kid's dad. He's been probing about my readyness to put myself out there. He hasn't sraight up asked me out but did invite himself to my house, but it almost sounds like he's not serious, he said he was serious but I wasn't sure and laughed it off. 🤦‍♀️
