Of course you'll see something holding it up to the light. Go buy another test and take it in a couple days. Read it in the timeframe listed in the directions and lay it on a flat surface.

You can’t hold it up to a light source like that. There’s already a line there. It’s rhetorical line that turns pink or blue when HCG is detected. Lay the test on a flat surface and wait the 3 minutes to view the results as instructed. Also, this picture is severely edited, which doesn’t show the test results as they truly are.

You will always see a second line in the light. If you don’t see it away from the light then it’s negative. It’s hard to tell with this picture.
