i’ve had an iud for over a year now, well i’ve had 2 the first one had it be removed bc it was placed wrong and it was the copper one. i had that for 5 months, due to it being misplaced i was bleeding for said 5 months straight. the bleeding wasn’t like light or spotting it was to the point where i was bleeding through super plus tampons and a pad. it was hell. i had kept calling my gyno and they made me an appointment to get blood work done to make sure that i wasn’t loosing too much blood. i wasn’t so i got an ultrasound and that’s when we found out it was misplaced. after that i made the appointment to get it removed and replaced. i got the mirena and i e had no issues since and even better i haven’t had a period since.
