Does baby's position effect starting labour?

Rachel

I am getting close to 41 weeks now and no sign of baby yet. My first baby was born on her due date. The difference was that my first baby was in a perfect birthing position at 28 weeks and was low for so many weeks. This one was transverse until 36 weeks until I did some stretching to get her head down. Then she was sunny side up. Now I think she's head down and sideways and I've been trying everything to get her in a better position and tried everything to get labour going. Is her position effecting this ? Is she not low enough or not ready? Has anyone else experienced this?

You could always try the miles circuit, it might help the position even more so. But my first was before her due date. And my second I ended up being induced at 41 + 1 weeks. Could just be different this time around 🤷🏼‍♀️ hoping a safe and healthy delivery for both you and baby! Goodluck mama when time comes :)

The baby's position can sometimes affect the start of labor, but it's not the only factor. It's great that you've been proactive in trying to get your baby in a good position. Keep moving, walking, and doing exercises to encourage optimal positioning. If you're concerned, it's best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice. Every pregnancy is different, so what worked for one may not be the same for another. Hang in there, and best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
