Autism?
I bought to my pediatricians attention that my 1 almost 2 year old (next month) isn’t hitting her milestones speech wise. She listened & understood and told me to schedule an evaluation because my daughter does have 2 symptoms of autism (tip toe walking & delayed speech). We have an evaluation on the 26th of this month. I’m noticing when I tell her “no”, “sit”, or even if she’s trying to force me to do something after I’ve been doing for 10 minutes (like clapping or row row your boat) she’ll start punching herself on the side of her head. It’s making me so sad and emotional because I don’t know what to do so I just grab her hand and tell her “gentle hands” & kiss her. My question is what can I do to stop her? Can I stop this? Is this another symptom of autism? My emotions are just everywhere rn. I just need some advice to put my mind at ease.
