9/21 Baby
Our baby was originally scheduled for induction on 10/6 (due date 10/13). Then yesterday she “failed” her NST so we moved up the induction date. We got our logistics in order at home and at work and then returned to the hospital for induction. Once started, I dilated steadily overnight. When I reached 6-7cm, they thought I’d still have a couple hours to go. Instead, my body kicked into high gear and she was born after 15 minutes of dilating from 7-10cm and then 15 minutes of pushing. I pushed her entirely out with one final push. None of the “here’s the head” then “here come the shoulders!” typical pushes. 1/10, do not recommend the speed or intensity of that final part of labor, lol. My epidural did nothing at that point.
Everyone is heathy so far. No success At breastfeeding yet, but we’ll keep working at it. Good luck to everyone still in it! It’ll be your turn before you know it.
