First lap done! Insignia photos below

Just finished my lap, everything went well! I didn’t die!

I have a dark sense of humor so I made an off putting joke to my family and nurses on the way back 😅 they said “ see you when you done” and I said “or in a casket!” And processed to feel out the entire way back to the operating room.

Anyways so far I feel good.my period crams are worse than this at this point In time. Granted I’m on toradol and fetnal. I do have some shoulder and neck pain from the gas I’m presuming. But am trying to lightly eat some veggie soup and a grilled cheese. I don’t think I’m going to finish it.

They removed the cyst and saved my ovary, and from what I recall they found endo on my front abdominal wall, bladder, uterus and then obviously my ovary.

I feel a bit of pressure especially on the left side where the cyst was removed.

My surgical team was amazing. The doctor checked on me pre op, twice technically once when I first arrived and again when I got wheeled back in the operating room. Then post of he checked on me twice again, once right away when I woke up or woke up enough to talk. I don’t remember much before that and gave me the run down and then he popped in to say bye before I left. He also stopped in the waiting room to update my boyfriend personally when they were waking me up.

I got ablation to my knowlage but I’m okay with that, my main concern was the cyst and he said the other spots were small.

I don’t have any prescription pain medication but I am able to rotate Tylenol and ibuprofen, so I’m okay with that. I felt really icky on hydrocodine for my wisdom teeth so I think that’s why they didn’t give me any.

And a final update as I sit here in my couch that folds into a bed the gas pain is truly worse than anything right now. I have a hot pad on my back and it seems to be helping!

If anyone want to know my surgeon/obgyn feel free to text me I am located in Wisconsin!

He is great and was more than happy to have an appointment even before the surgery date to talk to me about my worries. He does have a student glued to his hip basicly 24/7 but will ask if it is okay for them to join. His entire family is doctors at the same hospital. So him mom and dad work there too.
