Taking progesterone

Just started seeing a fertility doctor prescribe me progesterone took it for 10 days day five after taking it and still no cycle. They’re wanting me to do an HSG but I still have not started my period to put me on the pill for one month. Any suggestions? They told me it was gonna take about two weeks, the longest to start a period after progesterone.

I would take it for 7 days then stop and about 2 days after that i would bleed. Ew on the birth control...i would maybe see if they'd recommend somthing else?? Birth control will never help you. Its a band aide. HSGs are amazing. So cool!! I got pregnant with Letrozole after my hsg. My Letrozole baby is 2yrs old. I've cut out all processed food. Low to zero sugar, grass fed meat only, 20% fruit, 80% veggie, low carb and I've been ovulating 2 months straight!!!! Herbs that help balance hormones. We dont need doctors to "heal" our pcos... I hope the progesterone works

Metformin killed me too. Worst yr of my life...never again. You can control your sugars better then the meds can. The side effects you get from Metformin are awful. Totally destroys your gut microbiome. We basically have type 3 diabetes. Our pituitary doesn't know what to do with our hormones and processed foods, toxic chemicals, and sugar make it so much worse. Im pretty new into eating this clean and still have my moments. Our thiroid is extremely confused to. Go on Mountain Rose Herbs find the hormone balance products. They help a lot! No fatigue. Im far from perfect but my body is healing and responding. I will never be quiet. Im extremely disappointed in fertility docs and what happened to my body in the process. Even if its not a perfect yet... im extremely thankful to not be taking pharmaceuticals and seeing this much progress in just 2 months

They have me on south beach diet but it seems to be a little hard with even being on Metformin every time I eat I feel horrible. I got off a bit on the diet I work full time a school part time so my schedule is a little busy

It's common for periods to be delayed after taking progesterone. If it's been over two weeks, it's best to follow up with your fertility doctor for further guidance. They may have additional options to help induce your period or proceed with the HSG test.
