1). What would you do if your husband’s grandmother (baby’s great grandmother) tried asking for their SSN to open an “account” for her when she’s older to use for college or a car. When they tell them no because you think that’s a piece of information that only the parents should be using , they get upset and call you controlling.

2). They ask you to bring socks- socks for shoes- shoes that your child should NOT be wearing at her age since she is only 6 months old and hasn’t started walking. You tell them you’re not comfortable with it and that it can actually hurt her little feet and the bone and foot development, they laugh at you and call you little disrespectful b*tch and that you’re just being an over dramatic and over protective first time mom.

For some more context- we can’t afford daycare since it’s stupidly overpriced. So my mom, and his mom & grandparents watch our daughter while we’re working. My mom may think some of my wants and expectations are stupid but she NEVER questions me, his mom and grandparents do not respect me and it is so hard for me to stand up for myself in situations like these. I told my husband that this was the last straw and I don’t care the price- that we’re putting her in daycare and he agreed for the most part.
