If you have a vacation booked and planned and requested it off, and your manager approved it, but then asked if you could work that week because some big bosses are coming that week, and I don’t know if it will make me look bad if I’m not there. what would you do??

Go on the vacation that you’ve been excited for and can’t get a refund on? Or stay home and go to work that week??

It’s bullshit that they act like they have to approve leave when it’s your annual leave anyway, you’re really just notifying them when you will be off not ‘asking for approval’. They shouldn’t really have any power over your life decisions.
