Husband wanting to use his inheritance to get veneers

My husband recently inherited money from his grandfathers death and he has said he want to spend the money to get veneers. My husband doesn't have good teeth. He grew up very neglected so he didn't really take care of his teeth and they got bad. One recently broke in his sleep! He wants to get veneers and has said he wants them to look normal. He's not planning on getting those white white teeth that others get. I get it's my husband's inheritance but since we are married I feel like we should do something that benefits both of us. Not just one of us. He doesn't seem to be taking my feelings about things into consideration or asking how I feel

Edit: I don't understand how veneers will benefit his health. They're for cosmetic purposes

Edit 2: No I'm not stupid. Veneers are for cosmetic purposes. It's why insurance usually doesn't cover them.
