Hello, popped on to ask anyone and especially those in the south to please donate blood and plasma today. Ask everyone you know. I am currently an icu nurse but was in the military as a nurse/surge tech and ran disaster medial 1st response teams and am currently in NC helping run a team as a volunteer. We NEED blood. We have gotten a lot of aid from the govt but that doesnt help the blood supply. Between the injuries from the actual storm there are injuries from clean up/trying to leave and we are cut off from courier transport like we normally have if needed. Some places also had damage to their blood supplies/banks and no govt funding can fix that. Please please go donate as we need blood and plasma....especially if you live in NC ir a close state. I have seen worse but saying that know this is the issue that will be here for months and months and effect the region for sometime. Please donate and get loved ones to donate. It is a way for free uou can truly help directly to those who need it...plus you get a snack. Spread the word and please help.
