I had a hook up with an ex, we got tested and everything before doing so. However I got retested 4ish weeks after the event and I ended up with both a yeast infection and BV🙄.

But I never noticed anything down there before the diagnoses. I didn’t feel itchy, hot, smelly, or see any thick discharge. Or any odd colors or smells. So I already went through with the treatments but now I’m just thinking if I didn’t know I had those then how would I now?

Maybe I am nose blind but I feel like my ex would’ve said something cause we still hooked up before that appointment that gave me the diagnosis. Everytime we had sex I was always a sticky clear discharge. Now I am just paranoid that I smell or will end up exhibiting symptoms even though before I didn’t notice a thing. So does anyone have an idea as to why I didn’t notice anything? Or maybe I didn’t consider a feeling as the infection and other things to look out for as indicators?
