UPDATE: TW Micarriage. Unfortunately after the really good scan at 8wks i lost the pregnancy at 9wks. Only pro is it put me at 3 recurrent miscarriages, so they're doing more investigation of my thyroid + blood clotting now incase thats an issue, also genetics on the 'embryo' materials to see if it was a problem on that side. Pretty sad, but happy that noone has told me I'm too old, just understanding and help offered!
UPDATE: So I had beta hcg drawn going into week 5 and they were looking great. My midwife organised another 1 week later as a reassurance at 6w 3d and it hadn't even doubled. I was pretty disappointed and spent the last 2 weeks waiting for the miscarriage to happen. Actually had heavy spotting/light bleeding from Friday to Monday that tapered off. Today I had my first scan and was completely shocked to hear the bleeding was a small SCH which I might get a bit of further bleeding from. BUT also a jellybean measuring right on 8w with a heartbeat of 176 bpm. After this year I just went in expecting the worst, ended up in tears on the way home from sheer shock and happiness! This little bean just needs to hold on. The last year has been a trip! Got pregnant last July, but lost it at 6wks and was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 weeks after that. October I had a single mastectomy with reconstruction, followed closely by an IVF cycle (we wanted embryos incase I lost my fertility). Luckily my cancer was lower grade than expected so we implanted our single embryo immediately - got pregnant, but lost it right before xmas as a 'blighted ovum'. So its taken from then to get another positive, naturally. I had my little boy at 40, really hoping this little poppyseed holds on - they'll be due a week after my little boys 3rd birthday and I'll be 43. Excited, but nervous after the 2 previous losses! Super early currently at 15dpo.
