Hi ladies, I’m currently pregnant with baby #2. No one knows yet that I’m pregnant. My daughter’s first birthday is at the end of the month and we are having a pretty good size party with lots of family. We were thinking about announcing to everyone at the party since so many family members will be together from both sides… is that distasteful since it’s for my first little girl birthday, she’s so young I don’t think so but let me know what you think…

If she was older and was going to struggle with the transition of sharing her parents attention…bad idea. A one year old doesn’t care. My kid will be just shy of 2 when my second is born and that is precisely why I wanted them so close together if possible. You don’t have to worry about things like that

She's so young she's not going to even remember it so I think it's perfectly fine. I would wait until towards the end of the party to do your announcement so you're not taking away too much from her party. That's just my opinion though. I don't think you're stealing her thunder or anything and I think it's a good idea since all the family will be there and you won't have to tell everyone individually or have a while separate party.
