If you were dating someone and got close to the act of sex but didn’t actually have sex. Your genitals were touching a lot but no penetration happened. Before it moved further you asked “do you have anything” and they think you mean condoms but you say no “like do it have anything?” They say “I actually have herpes but I honestly forgot I have it.” Then proceeds to tell you that you can’t get it from what was done. You leave and break things off for the lack of thought and consideration of your health. Months later you get lesions on your vagina and go to the doctor and she tells you it looks like herpes and the test come back positive. You notify them that they gave it to you and they’re apologetic. Your mother tells you that you should press charges against them. What would you do in this situation?
