Announcing pregnancy when cautiously happy
Hi everyone, I'm currently in my first trimester, first time being pregnant. It is a high risk pregnancy, my husband and I knew this beforehand, had clearance from my drs and made a conscious choice. In a few weeks, we'll probably announce our expecting a baby to family and friends, but i feel a bit worried how to go about it. We're happy with the pregnancy, but also a bit anxious about the health of the baby and a bit about how the pregnancy may affect my health. Cautiously happy may be a good description. I kwow people will be enthusiastic which in some ways is nice, but people not knowing, seeing or even minimising the worry feels a bit wrong and lonely, like leavibd out half of the story. Has anyone in a high risk pregnancy felt the same? How did you go about announcing your pregnancy? Did you share just the joy, or also your worry?
